TABLE IT! STAINED GLASS MOSAIC TABLETOP
With Guest Instructor Ken Crowley, expert glass cutter and stained glass artist.


Create a beautiful mosaic table as a plant stand or
accent piece for home or garden. Learn the basics
of stained glass mosaic work on a flat surface. This
workshop will focus on the common indirect reverse
method of mosaic work. Learn glass cutting tech-
niques for beautiful designs! Suitable for beginner or
intermediate level mosaic artists. Bring your own
small table to work on or purchase one from the
studio. Tables for purchase are tall and simple,
graceful black iron tables with two potential areas for
mosaics. Participants will leave with a solid under-
standing of the methods and techniques for glass
mosaic work, including appropriate substrates, ad-
hesives, tool usage and cutting methods. All tools
provided.

Finished pieces will be professional quality, fabricated for indoor or outdoor locations. The workshop will be held at my mosaic art studio, in Upper Fells Point, Baltimore. Beverages and light snacks included.

Part 1: Saturday, November 20, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Choosing colors, creating a design, basic safety tips, use of tools for cutting and nipping; choosing materials, affixing your mosaic, indirect method of mosaic application.

Part 2: Sunday, November 21, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Choosing grout colors, grouting techniques and considerations, grouting process, sealing considerations.
